Synaesthesia Gallery AR:
Journey Through The Senses

Synaesthesia is a neuropsychological trait, where the brain's intricate connections enable the activation of one sense to evoke another. For example, a sound may evoke a colour, a taste, or a smell. The result is a rich and multi-dimensional journey that engages all your senses.

This project seamlessly blends art, music, and augmented reality (AR). With this extraordinary app, you can embark on an immersive experience where renowned compositions by Liszt, Chopin, Schumann, Scriabin, and others come to life through the vivid paintings of artists who possess synaesthesia.

The Synaesthesia Gallery AR app has been crafted as part of a seven year collaboration between artists with synaesthesia and Dr. Svetlana Rudenko, a highly accomplished concert pianist, composer, and researcher. For more information about Dr. Rudenko and her work, visit www.svetlana-rudenko.com.

This app is available for both Android and iOS devices, offering two different play modes - in Random mode, you have the freedom to explore and indulge in the gallery's immersive experience anywhere in the world, preferably in a picturesque park or natural setting. Alternatively, in Curated mode, the experience is staged in Trinity College Dublin, aligning the mesmerizing music and art soundscapes with specific locations across the historical university campus.
